Statement from Ms. Guerrero

Dear T-Town dancers and community,

With the change in direction in the Tolleson Dance Program there are also changes being made to the program itself. These changes might not be well received, but in my judgement, it is what is best for myself as new director and for the dancers in the program. As most of you know, Tolleson Dance has been recognized by having a JV team, Tolleson Dance Company, and a Varsity team, Tolleson Heat. With two teams, came significant rivalry between teams and between dancers, which is the opposite message we try to convey through dance.

Therefore, I have decided to focus on only one team, a team that will be striving to keep the excellence in dance and performance. One team that will still be representing Tolleson Dance and what our program has to offer. With that being said, this statement is also to introduce to you the new Tolleson Heat Elite Dance Team. For those of you who did not achieve the results wanted, please know that hard work pays off!

There is always room for improvement, keep working, keep getting stronger, and keep striving. Just remember how mos of you could not do a single pirouette when you started this journey. if you are passionate about the art, you will continue to work to get better and to achieve your goals.
